GAME RULE EBOOKLETS FOR SALE

Animal Game Mart started out as a game store. It had one sample Animal Game, TOP DOG. It had several pages describing ebooklets that contained the rules of other Animal Games. There were 12 small 3-game ebooklets. These were combined in threes into 4 large 9-game ebooklets. There were rules for 36 Animal Games in all, and shopping cart software with which to buy them.

Later free Animal Game rules were added. And free Traditional game rules were added. And links to game resources were added. And additional links were added. And articles were added.

And around January 2011, the ebooklet sales pages were removed. A pair of links to an ebook store were added, but Animal Game Mart ceased to be a store.

Now in September 2011, the game store is back, sort of. The Animal Games contained in the 4 large ebooklets are again described for those who are interested, but without the shopping cart software. You still have to go to the ebook store to buy them.

And you are under no obligation to buy.

ANIMAL GAMES, BOOKLET 1

1. ADDER is a card game for three to five players. The object of the game is to take tricks by playing the high-rank card.

2. ANTS is a card game for three to six players. The object of the game is to lay down cards in a series (like ants in a row) based on what was laid down previously.

3. AQUARIUM is a board game for two or four players. Each player is a fish in an aquarium. You and your fellow fish are bored, so you pass the time by playing a game. The object of the game is to swim to a location from which you can see just one other fish.

4. BIRDS ON A WIRE is a card game for two to four players. The object of the game is to place cards in rows of cards on the table like birds on a wire.

5. BULL POKER is a poker game for three to six players. The object of the game is to trade cards with your opponents until you think you have the best poker hand.

6. CAMP GRIZZLY is a board game for two to six players. Each player is a camper at a summer camp named Camp Grizzly located on the shore of Grizzly Lake. One of the favorite activities at Camp Grizzly is a footrace called “twice around the lake”. The object of the game is to race around Grizzly Lake trying to be first to the finish line.

7. CHAMELEON is a card game for two to six players. The object of the game is to pick a card that comes close to matching a card that another player has chosen.

8. COCKEYED OCTOPUS is a card game for two to four players. The object of the game is to add cards to a layout of cards by matching an existing card by suit or rank, or by playing an Eight.

9. COPY CAT is a board game for two players. Each player owns a cat. When the cats play together, they like to copy each other's poses. The object of the game is for your cat to copy the other cat's poses in the fewest number of moves.

ANIMAL GAMES, BOOKLET 2

1. CRABS ON A BLANKET is a board game for two players. Each player is head of a family of crabs. Two families of crabs are visiting the beach and sharing a beach blanket. The object of the game is to positions your crab family members on the beach blanket so they can talk to each other.

2. DETECTION is a simple card and dice game for two to six players. Each player is a detective investigating a jewel robbery at the Montague Mansion. Someone has stolen the famous Hype Diamond Necklace. The object of the game is to solve the crime and arrest the thief by finding clues and questioning suspects.

3. DUCKS IN A ROW is a board game for two players. Each player controls eight ducks. The object of the game is to move your eight ducks from one edge of a field to the opposite edge.

4. FOUR BEARS is a trick-taking card game for three to five players. The object of the game is to take tricks by playing the high card in the suit that was lead in the same family as the rank that was lead.

5. FROG RACE is a board game for two players. You race your frog against your opponent's frog. The object of the game is to get your frog to the finish line first.

6. IZZARD is a card game for two to four players, played as a series of rounds. In each round, the players match cards using the instructions on the Matching Sheets. The object of the game is to make a match on your turn.

7. KANGAROO HOP is a board game for two players, played as a series of games. Each player controls the movement of a kangaroo. The object is to move your kangaroo to a special square on the board.

8. LADY BUGS is a dice game for two to four players. The object of the game is to roll the current point total.

9. LEOPARD is a card and dice game for two to four players. The object of the game is to score points by matching the spots on the dice with the spots on the playing cards.
